Merrilyn Vardouniotis (Brass)

Merrilyn has been teaching music to students of brass instruments for over 25 years.  She works individually with students tailoring lessons to their specific needs, whether it be for performances within the community, for school, AMEB exams or personal enjoyment.

As a trombone player, Merrilyn is an active member of the Penrith Symphony Orchestra and brass tutor for the Penrith Youth Orchestra. She has tutored music students at Western Sydney University and at many schools in both Sydney and Brisbane. Regularly tutoring at school band camps and workshops throughout the year, she has run her own teaching studio for more than 25 years.

Merrilyn studied trombone at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University, Queensland where she graduated with a Post Graduate Diploma in Performance. Following this she toured as a tutor with Queensland Symphonic Winds to Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, and Thailand.
