Jack Ward

Sydney based cellist, Jack Ward is regularly engaged as a performer with major arts organisations and productions throughout Australia. He enjoys a versatile career having performed with the Australian and Melbourne Chamber Orchestras and the symphony and opera/ballet orchestras, and major commercial productions throughout the country.

His festival engagements include Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra International Festivals. Jack performs regularly at venues such as The Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Recital Centre, Angel Place City Recital Hall, Sydney Capitol Theatre, International Convention Centre, Melbourne Arts Centre, and Hamer Hall in various contexts, for example as a chamber musician through Musica Viva and as a member of Melbourne based Penny Quartet.
Alongside his classical practice, Jack performs in major commercial productions and recordings including Wu-Tang Clan, Warner Brothers (Lego Films), Blizzard Entertainment, ABC, Screen Australia, Les Miserables, Flight Facilities, Luke Howard, Hanson and Middle East tours.

Equally at home in pop music, folk music and improvising, Jack appears at Woodford and National Folk Festivals, Tamworth Country Music Festival and Zone Out International Music Festival.
