Dr Alison Evans is a bassoonist, teacher and researcher. Alison studied bassoon at the Queensland Conservatorium and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She completed her PhD at the Sydney School of Public Health, the University of Sydney in 2014.

Her doctoral thesis focussed on the applied functional anatomy of the soft palate in woodwind and brass musicians. Alison is a co-artistic director of Sirius Chamber Ensemble, has a keen interest in music education and multidisciplinary research.
