The evening will be highlighted by the presentation of the 2023 Silvy Medal, accompanied by an exclusive performance from the lucky recipient.

The Silvy Medal is a prestigious student award dedicated to honouring the remarkable work of Valda Silvy, OAM, a prominent figure who has played a pivotal role in shaping the musical landscape of Western Sydney, with a special focus on the Penrith region. Her unwavering commitment to nurturing and mentoring young, up-and-coming musicians has earned her the respect and admiration of the entire music industry. Ms Silvy’s remarkable legacy includes the founding of the Penrith Conservatorium of Music over 30 years ago!
